FACETASM, a Japanese brand founded in 2007 by Hiromichi Ochiai, was chosen by Giorgio Armani to show a collection at the Armani/Teatro space during the upcoming Milano Moda Uomo. The initiative which is in its ninth season aims to support young creative talents. Facetasm combines pop culture with tailoring. The Japanese urban style is demonstrated in the futuristic silhouettes and street wear inspiration of the brand.
Hiromichi Ochiai is a graduate of Bunka Fashion College. He worked for a textile company in Japan for 8 years before he launched his own brand. Facetasm is a coined word of “facet”, meaning different sides or aspects of an object. Facetasm showcased its first runway collection in 2011 for the 2012 Spring/Summer season. In 2013, Hirochimi won The New Face award by Shiseido during the 31st Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix.
