Milan Menswear Fall/Winter 2010 have already started. Showing on the second day is designer John Varvatos. The runway show took place Sunday, January 17th 2010 at Chiesa sconsacrata di San Paolo Converso, Milan, Italy. Here is a coverage and press kit from the show delivered via e-mail.

“For this collection, I thought about the lifestyle of young men, not necessarily in age, but in spirit: people who live fast, travel intensively and want to look smart, but never uptight. My interpretation of their needs is a flexible wardrobe made of light pieces that have a soft, worn-in touch to them; clothing that is subtly luxurious as it is easy to layer and adapt to one’s own personality. A long knit coat might end under a double-breasted suit jacket in the morning, and on top of it at night, because that’s how men really dress themselves today. Perfect and imperfect, day and night, elite and street are mixed into a new, single whole. The feel is urban, with romance underneath still burning bright” says designer John Varvatos of his fall/winter 2010/11 collection.
