Philippine Fashion Week 2012 : Jerome Salaya Ang

Designer Jerome Salaya Ang closed the Philippine Fashion Week with “Skin, Sin and Bones”, a remarkable collection that is inspired by the seven deadly sins. Digital printed silk, tulle, and leather on bold blacks, pristine white and blood red frocks are few that comprise the seemingly unkempt masterpieces. Ang proved that he is worthy to do the finale show for the Philippines Fashion Week 2012.

Philippine Fashion Week 2012 : Bruce Venida

Philippine Fashion Week turned out to be a venue for young people to express their creativity through their outfit.
It was a smorgasbord of different styles.

Philippine Fashion Week 2012 : Fanny Serrano

Fanny Serrano used a fiber common in the Philippines called “Piña” in his collection. His beautiful creations complemented with headpieces offered a romantic and enchanting feel. Needless to say, Serrano’s used of local fabric in his dresses is commendable both in design creativity and in the feat of promoting the local textile industry.

Philippine Fashion Week 2012 : Michael Cinco for Bench

Renowned designer Michael Cinco showcased exquisite gowns during the launching of his fragrance “Impalpable” for one of Philippine’s biggest fashion and lifestyle brand Bench.

Cinco first studied at SLIMS fashion and arts school in the Philippines, then later at the prestigious Central Saint Martins in London. Cinco started working in Dubai, where he is currently based, in 1997. He eventually established his own couture house in 2003. He has already showed his works in Dubai Fashion Week, Miami Fashion Week and Swarovski shows. In 2011, he won as Breakthrough Designer in the WGSN Global Fashion Award held in New York and was also nominated as Best Designer in Grazia Style Awards . – MichaelCinco.com

Philippine Fashion Week 2012 : Veejay Floresca

Veejay Floresca presented the quintessential collection that is inspired by his recent visit in the Big Apple. Jackets, coats, sleek gowns, knitted tops and skirts that uses local fabrics piña, jusi and barong, among others comprise Floresca’s “Women in New York”. With his ingenuity for integrating global aesthetic and indigenous flavor, Floresca once again proved that he is indeed a true visionary of design.

Floresca won as Asian Top Fashion Upcoming Designer for Fashion Asia Award 2011 in China and was the second-runner up of the Philippines’ edition of Project Runway season 1.
