Esther Quek is the fashion editor of The Rake magazine. During the recent Men’s Fashion Week in Milan, she was a street style favorite as photographed by Tommy Ton of Jak&Jil and Nam of StreetFsn.

How did she find the show and collection? “It was good. Everyone is a little safe in their collection because of unpredictable economic situation. But generally, there were a lot of suiting which is inline with Rake’s fashion direction.”

A month ago, I bumped into Yoyo in her yellow knitted top paired with gray trousers. Recently, I saw her again at the same location, donning a black and white ensemble.

Yoyo takes inspiration from menswear in her choice of style. She considers Kate Moss and Eric Wasson as her style icons while Ricardo Tisci of Givenchy as her favorite designer. From the recent New York 2012 Fashion Week, she favors the collection of Alexander Wang.

Currently managing her own boutique called Exhibit, Yoyo will soon embark on designing her own label.
