While I was in Manila, I presented a concept for a fashion story to designer Seph Bagasao, focusing on birds of prey. Seph contacted his fellow Preview Emerging Talents Awards finalists to come up with clothes and accessories that would fit the concept. After a week of preparing designs and organizing the shoot, we were able to push through. The shoot took place in Alabang, southern Philippines, under the harsh heat of the sun, on the grass, with banana leaves, and over the rocks.

A new face for the Philippine Fashion Week 2012 is Apriel Smith from Cebu City. Apriel is 16 years old and is a dancer.

Apriel, half American and half Filipino, was crowned Festival Queen 2012 at one of the grandest festivals in the Philippines, The Sinulog. Watch her walk at the upcoming Philippine Fashion Week 2012.

With a towering height of 180 centimeters, expect to see this 20-year-old model at the Philippine Fashion Week 2012!

Anne Barker started modeling in 2010 and has done shows for Fashion Watch and the previous seasons of Philippine Fashion Week. She is half Filipino and half British.

Pauline just came back from Hong Kong where she is represented by Model Management. Her portfolio includes campaigns for Bench, Plains & Prints, Adora and numerous fashion editorials.

 Pauline was chosen to represent Philippines in the Elite Model Look competition in Shanghai China in 2011. She is 18 years old.

Ria Bolivar personifies longevity in the Philippine’s modeling industry. She was the country’s representative at the 2004 Elite Model Look held in China.

Ria has graced the covers of international magazines including that of Surface Asia Issue no. 6 and the latest edition of Illustrado. She also stars in a fashion editorial of the current Metro Magazine, wearing couture pieces from one of Philippine’s best designers Rajo Laurel.

With her unique presence and seasoned walk on the runway, expect Ria to model at the Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2012!
