Singapore Men’s Fashion Week : Reckless Ericka

Returning for the second year at the Men’s Fashion Week and the only Singaporean label is Reckless Ericka. Designer Afton Chen and Louis Koh took inspiration from the works of Michael Garlington, an acclaimed Northern California photographer. Both male and female models were styled uniformly, emphasizing its androgynous theme. Patterns, solid colors, volume and layering best describe Reckless Ericka’s collection.

Singapore Men’s Fashion Week : BODYBOUND

True to its name, BODYBOUND’s collection showcases its new take on menswear at the Singapore Men’s Fashion Week with a bondage-inspired aesthetic. The collection was a concoction of wild yet tailored pieces, from button-down shirts detailed with bronze tartan patterns; textured, metallic fabric panels and scarves; as well as buckled silver harnesses – a daring mix of structured menswear and unabashed, sexy rock and roll.

The show took the audience to a dystopian and futuristic era with its cohesive collection.

Pushing the boundaries of men’s fashion is designer Kim Choong-Wilkins of BODYBOUND. A graduate of Central Saint Martins in 2005, Kim Choong-Wilkins has worked for brands such as Alexander McQueen, Emernigildo Zegna and Matthew Williamson.

Singapore Men’s Fashion Week : Pascal Donquino

Presenting his collection on the 3rd day of Singapore Men’s Fashion Week is Akira Takeuchi of Pascal Donquino. The collection employed the new classics: blazers, vests and cardigans in rich, earthy shades of brown and dapper navy hues – all paired with clean, crisp white button downs, chinos, shorts and leather lace ups.

A graduate of Esmod Japan, Akira Takeuchi worked as a printmaker for Comme des Garcons where he honed his design aesthetics.
