Back from her trip in Paris and London is model Eunice Ward. She is under the management of Cal-Carries Singapore. Eunice’s recent projects include Fendi Asia Pacific presentation, Shanghai Tang show and a Robinsons campaign.

“I think your choice in music dictates your fashion preference. I opt for indie genre.” expressed by Laurie on the relation of music and fashion. Her current playlist includes Contrakids, The Shins, and Bon Iver, to name a few. Jeff Buckley, an American singer-songwriter, is her favorite artist.

Laurie is taking up Fine Arts at La Salle College of Arts.

Melody is one of the youthful and trendy students of La Salle College of Arts who attended my presentation. I spotted her was while she was shopping along Orchard Road, a year ago. She has maintained the “street-style-photographability” on her.

Having mentioned the talk, I would like to thank Charles and Nazneen for the opportunity. Being able to share ideas and tips about street style photography and blogging with your classes was a great joy.

Here is an excerpt from the shoot I did last month for the Private Haute Texture Exhibition of designer Eric Raisina. Entitled Emotional, the event will be held on the 10th of February at Cambodia’s most stylish hotel, Hotel de la Paix, and will be opened with a fashion presentation of Eric’s latest collection.

Together with this set, Cambodiana, the rest of the photos from this shoot will be displayed in the hotel until April 30.

Wearing a FEIST $ HEIST cape is Liyana Juhari. Except from this outfit that she is donning, most of the time Liyana wears black, she admits.
Liyana, who considers style as a personal story, favors the works of designer Martin Margiela and the local label Sundays.

Killing time in the streets of Singapore is Theo Corba from Paris. His impression of local fashion is that it is intense and trendy, but a little playful.
He bought his moccasins in Belgium.

May Cheong believes that a little black dress is a versatile item, both for dressing up or casual style. She wears a Zara dress accentuated with her Massimo Dutti bag and scarf, and a necklace from Tangs. Her favorite local brand is Hansel, for its quirky and vintage clothings.

Malin is from Sweden. She is heading to Thailand and Sydney after her trip to Singapore. She describes her personal style as Boho-chic. Undoubtedly, it is. Complement that with an endearing smile, Malin is a street-style-sweetheart.

On her casual look for Friday, as she just came out from work, is senior executive Suriah Salim. She pairs her black lace dress with Dr. Martens boots. When asked about her perception on Singapore street fashion scene, Suriah said, “It is improving, especially with girls. They dress up.”

Sabine looks refreshing in her outfit, showing her preference for the pastel color. But lo, she deviates subtlety with her polished hairstyle, Ray-Ban aviator, and a neckerchief.  Sabine, from Germany, admits that she favors the brands like Hermes and Zara while Agyness Deyn is her style icon.

Spending the day at the Raffles Hotel looking at the sky is her best experience in Singapore, so far, on her holiday trip.

I like how Venny Stella transforms her style; from light and Earthy into dark and mysterious with a menswear-inspired number. Her sheer black button-down, black leather lace-ups and dark leather portfolio are punctuated with structured mustard leggings and bright red lips.

“The first thing that people look at when they meet you are your clothes, so I always dress to make a good impression. Today, I feel just casual”, she stated. Britney, an English and Political Science student, is from California.

I bumped into model Michelle Westgeest along Cairnhill Road. I am very glad that when I asked her if I can photograph her, she was very welcoming.

Michelle has been a regular to international fashion week shows including Haute Couture – Autumn/Winter 2011 for designers Christian Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier, Giorgio Armani Privé, etc. She has also graced the cover of magazines and appeared on fashion editorials for Elle Belgium, Marie Claire UK, Grazia France, L’Officiel Paris, and Harper’s Bazaar Spain, to name a few.

She is with Avenue Agency in Singapore.

Walking around the city is Ada Yip, who works in sales. She describes her personal style as smart casual. Considering her thoughts on Singapore fashion, Ada expressed, “It is evolving”.

Photographed at Killiney Road is Tom Keys. Tom is scheduled to leave for New York this August to study Fashion Design at Parsons. In Singapore, he was the assistant designer for brand, Nikicio: Mixte vol.06. He also appeared on a fashion editorial for Men’s Folio.
His favorite designers are Gareth Pugh and the late Alexander McQueen while Thom Browne’s collection is what he most-liked from the recent Milan Men’s Fashion Week Fall 2012.

“He catches you off guard. I was a little embarrassed but happy to see the nice comments” said Paul, on his experience when Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist photographed him in New York. Paul is visiting friends in Singapore and exploring other Southeast Asia nations.

Out to do her work is Yusrina, a junior editor for a magazine. Aside from travels, having freedom in the direction of the fashion section is what she enjoys about her job. Among her trips, her favorite city is Melbourne.

With a light and breezy pleated terra cotta skirt, scaly bangle, natural leather messenger bag and playful red feather in her hair, Venny Stella is a modern earth goddess.
Venny, a student of Pastry and Bakery Arts in Singapore,  considers Agyness Deyn as her style icon.

Strolling along Stamford Road is Charles Rezandi, an art director and a lecturer at LASALLE College of Arts. “Weather is a benevolent factor in dressing, but it should not stop an individual to dress according to their personal style and taste. It is generally warm here in Singapore but I always carry an outerwear whether it rains or shines,”  he states.
